First & Still the Best

What makes 3SP® so special?

The yarn used in the manufacture of 3SP is the most hydrophobic (water hating) yarn in the world, either man-made or natural, including wool. Even when soaking wet 3SP dries very quickly. Offering a balance of breathability, evaporation, insulation and ventilation, 3SP is the fabric of choice for the winter athlete.

And rightly so: this tightly woven fabric is windproof up to 35 mph, yet offers a soft interior and added stretch, making it the ultimate single layer protection for damp, cold and extreme conditions. This “soft shell” craze that swept the performance clothing industry several years ago has been a feature of SportHill clothing since 1991.

Many products on the market today that claim to “wick” moisture away from the body. 3SP can not only make that claim, but is also able to back it up with the experiences of actual users.

Since 1985 SportHill has prided itself in providing the highest quality performance clothing for athletes and adventurers around the world. We distinguish ourselves from the competition by pairing innovative design with carefully chosen, advanced fabrics.

“I can’t say enough about your XC gear. I fell through the ice on the Cornell Flowage cross country skiing. Luckily I got out, but had to ski 1.5 miles into a 25 mph wind at 15 degrees F to get to my truck. Your gear kept me warm and didn’t freeze. I think it saved me some serious grief. As they say, ‘you get what you pay for’ and it’s worth every penny."

Thanks, Terry

“I have been wearing SportHill XC® pants for years and I love them. Style, warmth, durability, thank you SportHill for designing such a great piece of outdoor clothing! ”
