........There is one, I just didn't find it. Therefore I updated my review as now there is a secure place to put something like a key or room card. The side pockets I can see as being fine to carry gel packets or if you are careful a cell phone.
The shorts are fine but there doesn't seem to be a zippered pocket on them as advertised. I could put something in the side pockets but there is nothing to close them with so I would be reluctant to put anything valuable in them.
Editors note. There is a vertical zippered pocket on the side of the shorts.
