These versatile pants have a straight-leg "jeans-like" fit and no zippers at the ankle. They are designed to be worn over the boot, but can be comfortably tucked in too. The Terrain II Pant features a rise which sits about 1.5 to 2 inches below the natural waistline and has straight legs for a universal fit. Pair these pants with any of our tops for a day of winter skiing/running/fishing/boarding/hiking followed by an evening at your favorite pub. Super comfortable! *Note: We recommend that you wash garments with 3SP fabric inside out to protect the outer surface. Hang dry, do not put in the clothes dryer.

Long term Sporthill 3SP fan. First pair purchased at EMS in the late 1990's lasted for years. Terrain is my favorite for x-country ski plus ice skating in and outdoors - I prefer this style over the ones with ankle zippers that do not fit well over boots.
This will be my fourth pair of 3sp pants, the first from when SP was Koch 1990s. Of the original three, I still have two pair size L, the third were size M, small for me, so gave to my nephew. The Terrain are loose-ish fitting, perfect for me because my racing "tight" days are over. My current pairs are both L (6'; 220lb) and are perfect fit, but this time I sized up to XL to allow room for adding a base layer for below zero adventures. Truly a remarkable fabric, excellent wind resistance, yet breaths; comfortable from 0deg to 50deg, they last a long time. They will not shed snow like an insulated soft shell, but they don't get clammy and do stay warm when damp. I have a 1/2-zip 3sp top also, I would like to see tops/jackets and vests in 3sp come back.
