Overall very nice
I’ll start off saying I’ve been wearing SportHill tights for 35+ years, for sports and seasonal everyday active use. Overall I like the fit and feel of Ultra-RX tights. The pockets are handy for today’s use of cellphones. I thought I’d miss zippered ankles, but without is just fine. And they are true to size.
I do find the temp range is more like up to 55 degrees and after that they start to become too warm, especially if active. This is the first pair of SportHill tights I’ve had that have a very wide waistband ( the waist and is really a wide top panel of the of the tights). Over all the waistband is “ok” although when I bend over, as in stretching or to tie a shoe, the wide waistband folds over on itself self at the stomach and I have to unfold it as it does not snap back by itself - not hard to do, just a slight annoyance. Never had that “feature” on tights before, though all previous SportHill tights I’ve had, and still have, have all had a more traditional, thinner waistband.
Great for cycling
I just picked up a pair of these tights and wore them for a winter bike ride in Oregon with temps in the upper 40s. They were super comfortable and helped me manage temperatures perfectly. Will be wearing for my winter runs and other winter rides on the warm side.
Great tights
This is my 2nd pair of RX tights, finally wore out my first pair after many years. Size MS great fit, perfect for cool to cold weather running. I like all of the Sporthill products that I’ve purchased over the years.
High quality with nice seams and features
I got these to complement my current no-pocket running tights that are mostly 3M reflective material and are getting old. These have nice reflective accents and the two side pockets are nice! They fit, as advertised, in the sizing chart. The only think would add to these as an improvement is a front (inside) key pocket, or a zip pocket in the back, like on some distance/enduro shorts.
Sizing is a problem
SportHill has a problem with their sizing. I am usually a size medium, but had to get these in size small and they are even a little on the big side. ....
warm and comfortable for running and cycling
When I was able to run I used the Ultra RX tight on rainy days along with a SportHill zone 2 top, Rain Dodger hat and Light House vest. The tights kept me warm and comfortable for my runs lasting up to 80 minutes. No they are my go to tights fall, winter and spring cycling. When the temps dip below 25 f I switch to the warmer Pursuit tight.
Just what I was looking for.
These Men's Ultra-RX Tights are a great weight for me. Used for nordic skiing and trail running in cool to cold weather. Fit is good and the material feels nice.
Second Pair
Used for gym workouts. These are great and I love the pockets (phone, keys, etc.) for freeing up a hand. Hold up well, dry quickly after washing.
Very comfortable
These tights are very comfortable and are great over a wide temperature range. I also like the zippered back pocket.
