Great fit and it does the job well!
Both ankle openings are larger than they should be allowing wind to blow up the legs of the pants effectively defeating the entire purpose of buying windproof pants,. If that were not bad enough, the openings are not even the same, i.e., one is larger and the other smaller. I have owned at least 5 of thse XC pants over the years and my last 2 purchases were a complete waste of my money. Adding insult to injury is the fact that the buyer is the one who pays postage to return SportHills lousy offering.
These are perfect for the record breaking Seattle rain, and temps in low 30s. They fit and look great.
Mine arrived quickly in the mail. I was wondering whether the factory seconds would have a significant problem. I looked them over, inspecting all seams, and couldn't find anything wrong with the factory seconds pair I bought. I like the classic look with the seam down the front. I wore a different pair 20 years ago when I was a ski instructor and this new pair still looks classic and stylish today. The cut isn't as snug as my other ski tights but I like these on cold mornings for classic stride XC skiing. They're also great for lounging around the house. The fabric is a bit on the stiff side, especially when new, but the soft and slightly fuzzy interior makes them very comfortable.
great heavy pant for cold ski!
I wanted a second pair of Zone 3 pants for knocking around outside during the winter months (shoveling snow, etc.). Sporthill was out of stock in the 3SP XC pants in my size so I decided to take a look at the factory seconds. They had my size in the seconds and they were $70 off so I purchased a pair and couldn't be happier. The defect is almost unnoticeable, the pants fit well, and the workmanship is top notch. Other than the small defect on the back of the right leg, they look perfect. Glad I checked the outlet center!
Amazing pants, fast shipping. I am 5'10, 190lbs and the medium short fit perfect. I always wanted a pair and the quality is so much better than some of the other sports brands that have popped up in the last 10-15yrs. I wear these everywhere for days at a time and they always hold their form. Cold wash, hang dry. No pill and no fading.
This is my first experience with these pants. The triplex HT sits at my natural waist line but these, perhaps because those are "fuller" through the hips and these are only "slightly relaxed", sit lower which isn't my preference. But, that said, they aren't uncomfortable and the fabric is thicker, something I wanted as I primarily walk in my SportHills and the Triplex HT, even with long underwear, are a little cold in the dead of winter.
I’ve worn these pants for many years for winter running, camping, snowshoeing, fly fishing, and just lounging around home. I just went to order my 6th pair but found my size out of stock so went for the factory seconds. They arrived in about 3 days and had a sticker to show the defect, which was very minor and will have no impact on performance. In fact, it’s barely noticeable.
