These are perfect trainers. I ordered the medium / long they fit perfect. I highly recommend these trainers.
Nice but don't fit as well as my 30 year old pair. I can understand the overall fit but the length should be the same as my other pair. The both are Large Short. Hope the new ones last as long as the old ones did
I've worn them every day since receiving them a month ago. I've recommended them to my grown son and a couple of my friends as well. I'm 6' 167 lbs. Medium fits perfectly waist and length. They are cool enough to wear around the house in winter and warm enough to not need to change clothes to take the dog for a walk in cool/cold/windy conditions. Quality appears excellent so far.
I purchased 3SP XC pants from LL Bean. They are FANTASTIC for cold-weather rowing and keep me warm and dry in conjunction with OTC waterproof socks and water shoes. They dry quickly from in-water transfers and are wind resistant. I also wear them for XC skiing, snowshoeing and walking the dogs, and they're great for those activities too! I highly recommend these pants for autumn/winter activities.
Most pants I wear vary between a 32 to 33" waist and 34 to 36" inseam and the large-long in these pants fit perfectly. Thank you SportHill for making longs. A couple of things to note about the pants that aren't listed here:
1) They come with a warning to hang dry only (no dryer).
2) The fabric is listed as 90% polypropylene/10% spandex. The tag on the pants list the fabric as 76% polypropylene/13% polyester/11% lycra.
Great pants.
I've worn my SportHill XC at least 100 days per year for the last 10 years. They are the best cold weather XC, bicycling, rock climbing bottoms ever. They wear like iron! Mine still look and work great! Everyone should wear these!
The X-C Pant is the best piece of winter running gear I have ever owned. I live in Rochester, New York, where winters are cold and snowy. These pants have never let me down. I bought my first pair about fifteen years ago and they are still in use. I'm transitioning those to cycling and just bought a new pair for winter running. I've been running for over three decades and love the fact that this classic piece of gear is still of the same superb quality. I also prefer to buy from an independent company where the founder, Jim Hill, still picks up the phone and takes orders!
I have purchased these identical pants consistently within a 15 year time frame. Quality seems to be consistent in both sizing, materials and garment wear life. All appealing attributes to consider with a higher priced consumer product.,.
I have not used the pants yet - they look excellent, the material is good quality. However if you have purchased pants from Sporthill in the past, please note that sizing seems to have changed significantly. I ordered a large, and they were at least 4" longer, with a larger waist, than a previous pair of Sporthill pants (both "large"). I am 6' tall and the regular large pants reach 2" long than the floor on me. On closer inspection of the size chart it looks like Medium/short will be a more appropriate size. I don't know that the guys who are only 5'4" can wear.
Great pants really stop the wind
