Epitomizes quality and craftsmanship of SportHill. Well done.
My brother from Alaska has skied in his 3SP’ s for 20 years and I got tired of him raving about em. Like Warren Miller says; “if you don’t do it this year, you will be one year older when you do.” Glad I did
Awesome product!!! I've been a fan of Sporthill for over 20 years and they never disappoint!!!
Great!!
These are the only ski pants I’ve found that actually fit. I’m 6’ ft 2 inches, 175lb - not terribly unusual proportions among skiers, but other brands somehow can’t get it right. In these pants, the LL size is perfect. My first pair is now about 20 years old and though perfectly serviceable are showing their age a bit. So after trying lots of unsatisfactory alternatives I’ve just got a second pair (thank you Santa!). And this time they have ankle zips and pockets - even better! Not cheap, but in my view excellent value.
I have lived in these pants since they were known as Bill Kochs. As mentioned in a previous review the newer ones definitely don't last as long as the older ones but are softer feeling. The last few pair I have bought had a couple issues. One, the front seam seemed to blow out in front of the knee really quick. Second, the sizing has become kind of unpredictable. I wear Large or XL Tall and the last two pair I got were clearly not Tall. I measured inseams and 2 pair measure 31-31.5" and the one that firs ok measures 33". All quite a bit shorter than the 34-35" listed. The pair I just got for XMAS (wife ordered and XL Long) came with the hang tag stating XL Long, the pants were marked XXL, and the factory plastic bag marked XLarge and had the inseam of 31.5", so not sure what I actually got but will have to return them. I'll probably continue to buy them as I literally live in these in the cooler months and they look nice enough to wear out to dinner on cold nights.
I bought my men s 3SP XC pants about 20 years ago and wear them all winter for running and backcountry skiing when temps are below 40 F in northern CO and now northern NM mountains. As a tall woman with an athletic shape, the men s fit is perfect and very comfortable - not too tight or too loose, waist is at natural waist, tapered leg, room for a base layer when needed. These shed snow and never get wet in the snow. I just bought another pair because a friendly dog jumped up and tore a hole in the thigh, but these wear like iron, I highly recommend!
I own 4 pairs of those pants. My wife made me promised not to buy another pair of pants unless I get rid of one of the pair I already own. that rule keep me at bay for now. But just for now. :-) I can wear those pants at temperature ranging from -10C to +5
C (14 F to 41 F) with neither of the feeling too warm or too cold. A few years ago I purchased a pair two size bigger than my regular size so I can use them as a warm-up pants when I get back to the car after a good day of xc-skiing. This is a great feeling to get to a warm jacket plus a pair of warm-up when you get back to the car specially when the ski chalet is not available to you due to a large crowd or the worry of catching something in the chalet. Reminder it is easier to catch a cold when you are tired. Doing a proper cool down and light stretches before getting back in the car and travelling home make all the difference in your recovery time.
Pants were nice fit for me. I’m 33-34 29 inseam. I ordered LS and was happy with it. I would recommend adding a fly for ease. I ordered 2-3 day shipping. I didn’t get it until the 5th day. So was disappointed that I paid a little extra but wasn’t delivered on time. I called customer service to inquire and got answer machine. I left a message and phone number. I never got a call back.
