3SP Saga tight
I love these tights. Ona 40 below day wearing these tights I did not get cold. Everyone around me was complaining about the weather and I was comfy. Couple things, these don’t feel like tights, they are more slim pantish. I purchased my regular size and was aware they might be a half size large in this production, but I like them a bit loose. Sheer perfection in fit. I have washed them inside out and let them dry hanging. I did notice that where the tie goes into the pant it is raw, unsewn fabric and it unraveled a bit…had a long string and that the waistband elastic, which is wide, has sort of folded. Not deal breakers given the fit and the warmth but I might hand sew an edge where the tie goes as well as tacking the elastic down in a few spots to prevent it from getting twisted. I love everything I have ever purchased from Sporthill because, though expensive the durability is unbelievable. I have two pairs that I purchased 20 years ago that though pilled, are comfy and certainly acceptable to wear for workouts.
These are so comfortable!
I am a very petite person, 4' 11' - I ordered a size SP. They fit quite perfectly, not too tight around my waist and the length is fine with my 27" inseam. I have worn them a few times now in cold, windy conditions (northeast winters, oy!). They are so comfortable and feel good against my skin, not too tight and not too loose. Such a great addition to my winter wardrobe!
cold weather activities are much more pleasant
I am 6'1'' and thin. Cold-weather mountain biking as well as skate skiing just got a lot more enjoyable. Not too tight under the rump, and with such a flattering fit , I have worn these to relaxed social events. Thank goodness for Sporthill. My only suggestion is that the Longs could be a little longer, but who's complaining?
fantastic winter tight
I am usually disappointed in winter leggings, but SportHill knocked this one out off the park! These have a soft hand, brushed with a buttery feel, and the moment I pulled them over my knee, I knew I had a winner by how well they stretched in the right places. I am a bodybuilder with an hourglass figure, 175 lbs, 5'4", and the medium fits me like a glove. I wore them on a two-hour hike in 34° F and they kept me warm and toasty, especially as I was climbing hills. I want to buy one more pair. I will wear them for spring skiing because they are perfect for those temps and move very well with my body in athletic endeavors. Strong stitching. Well-made. Highly recommended!
Great Cold Weather Tight
I finally bought the Saga tights! I had tried the previous version of the tight and they did not fit me so I sent them back but because I was desperate for a cold weather tight I thought I would try the new version. They are great! I am 5'9 140lbs with small hips and big legs. I bought the small- long size. They looked really small out of the package but I put them on and they fit great. I wore them today on our 8 mile Columbia Gorge hike. I was never too hot or cold. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a cold weather tight.
Please bring back the old version
While there are a couple of nice things about the new version -- the pocket, the waistband -- I do wish that the tights fit like the original Saga tight. I prefer the fitted leg and I thought that the ankle zippers were great as it makes the tights so much easier to put on and take off. Heavy socks tuck up inside the tights, then zip, then boots go on over the tights. The fabric is great -- it does pill but basically holds up very well. My four pair of the original Saga tights are now so old but I keep wearing them. Hope to see that the original version gets reinstated!
Saga Pants (Tights)
I LOVE the saga pants! I do not agree with the other reviewer..the pants fits perfectly. I am 5 ft 4 inches and 112 lbs and they hug me perfectly. Today I wore them x-country skiing and it was a cold day and they kept me warm, they moved really well and I felt like they made me look great. My new favorite winter pants!
There is the good and the bad about this new version of the Saga Tight
I have been wearing the Saga Tights for the last 12 years. The latest version has a wonderful wide waistband that I love. Gone are the ankle zippers which I don’t miss. However, now the legs are no longer snug. They are now so big and baggy that someone with slender legs finds themselves swimming in them. Now they fit like baggy pants and they are no longer tights. It’s time for Sporthill to update their description of them and create a new pair of tights once again!
Saga Tight
I love how these fit - snug and extremely comfortable, but not too tight. I live in NE Oregon where it can get cold in all seasons. I'll be taking these on fall and spring rafting trips, summer backpacking trips, and XC ski outings at high elevation. I've worn this fabric before and have truly needed it when the weather turned and I got wet. So happy to have something this well-made and comfy.
Saga Tight
I’ve worn three different versions of the Saga and this is my favorite by far. The wider waistband and more room in the seat to make it not pull down when I’m running (and skiing) . I’m on the larger size of a medium and though they are a dense fabric, they fit like a tight on me with a little wiggle room at the bottom so they will fit over my cross country ski boots. I use these in the summer for my warm backpacking pant/pajama and in the winter for running, XC skiing, and as a base layer under a shell for downhill skiing. Very useful and warm!
