Great for winter aerobic activities
Longtime fan and user of Sporthill products - mostly for running in all seasons- but this was my first time with this model of women's pants. I used them during a snowshoe race in Oregon, with temps in the 30s, and there was some light precipitation. I was comfortable, even while I was warming up with exertion. The pants were even lightly water resistant, which is good since snowshoe running means you kick snow on yourself occasionally. The zipped pockets are capacious and stay zipped and the overall tapered leg fit of these pants means they are suitable for running. Would recommend.
Are you built like a stick?
If you are built like a stick, these might be great pants. But I have big thighs and these were WAY too tight for me to even get on. And the length was WAY TOOO LONG. SportHill might want to think about making a "stick figure" version (this model) and an "athletic" model. Unless you are as skinny as your skies, these will not fit.
pants are probably great, but...
I ordered pants for myself and my husband. He got his, I received only a pencilled note saying "sold out" and a refund. Not even the courtesy of an email notice at time my order was received that the order would NOT contain my pants as well. Come on, SportHill, that is no way to treat your customers!
Love, love, love!
I am only 5 ‘ tall and the fit was perfect (MP)
The comfort is awesome too! I absolutely love them!
Best XC ski pant.
I have just received my second pair. I love the custom fit. I am 5' 2" and fit best into a medium petite.
Please keep making these pants!
Perfect fit Especially for Us Tall Gals
These are very well-made pants that work with or without a base layer. They are not too tight and the zippered pockets are more than usable. I am so happy with the 33 inch inseam length for the XL size—a perfect length for my long legs and one that is difficult to find in well-made outdoor clothing. Thank you!
Perfect winter pants
These pants are perfect for people who live in cold climates. They work alone or with a base layer. They slide easily over a merino wool base layer, which not all pants do. The pockets are good, the fabric is nice, they cut the wind, and they are comfortable. I will wear these all winter - for sports and for everything else. Please do not stop making them.
WOMEN'S SUPER XC pants
The pants are well made and very comfortable. I wore them several times during a cold snap in south jersey. I did need to add a layer of thermal pants underneath to stay warm. I expected them to be warmer and provide better wind protection. Hopefully they will keep me dry during my walks in inclement weather.
Medium Long XC-Pant
Definitely go with a longer length then you think you need. Mine fit great, and I thought they would be 2 inches too long. I have worn these pants on the north coast beach weather in high 30's temperatures with a 40 mph wind from the north blowing cold. There was medium rain blowing into me and I walk the dog for an hour at a good clip. My legs aren't wet, aren't cold, and the pants move well with me.
women's xc pant
I have had my first pair of pants since the mid 2000's and they are still going strong as a fantastic winter activity pant and even leisure wear working around the house. The waist band has finally worn - but a pair of suspenders fixed that! On my 3rd pair going 20 years strong!!!!
