teeny tiny pockets
3 stars for being made of 3SP. I LOVE my XC pants. I've lived in them for over 25 years. This time I thought I'd try the Traverse. What a disappointment. First, the bell bottoms let in cold air and just seem silly. Second, the "pockets" are so small they are almost useless. If you want to put anything more than a chapstick in them you're out of luck. Why do companies think that women don't use pockets? I'll keep buying the XC pant, but no more Traverse.
Best winter pants
Hands down, my favorite winter pants. Whether I'm XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, or going out to dinner on a single-digit night , these are my go-to pants. And they last for years!
Favorite XC ski pants
I have had 2 pairs of these pants before. I wear them skate skiing all winter. I have a stocky build (Large Petite) and was concerned when I read the cut had been modified. I’m pleased to say the new cut is just as good. So comfortable, flattering and effective for exercising in cold weather. They collect pet hair, but I don’t care about that.
Miss the old fit
The older fit was better and more versatile. The pant leg was straight instead of tapered and looked somewhat like a dress pant. Would fit over wider boots. The new pant is tapered and not at attractive. The fabric balls up faster as well. I won't buy it again.
I Live in These Pants!
I love these pants. I have had them before, and ordered again. I found them just as good if not better in the fit than prior years (although others said something was changed and they didn't like it). The negative 40 degree weather we had was extreme, and layering this up with another layer made them work perfectly for me. Wind did not pierce through like I was expecting. They wear great, they wash great. The only thing I don't like is the white lettering on the right leg. Without it, I could use these for everyday wear even at the office -- then get outside for a lunchtime walk. As it is, I am just advertising for SportHill.
3SP Traverse women’s pant
I still love this pant!
I have been reluctant to buy an updated version of this pant, based on some recent reviews.
To my pleasant surprise, I STILL LOVE THIS PANT!
I believe it is my sixth pair. I’ve worn these pants over the last decade or two. Yes they’ve changed, but they are still great. I’m going to order another pair before the season is gone . (After 20 years the elastic begins to get too relaxed.)
I hope this pant continues to be available for years to come. It’s the only pant I wear in the winter. I am 5ft 9inches and 150 lbs. I wear a large long. Perfect.
Traverse pants aren't the same
I bought a second pair of these pants after my other pair were getting worn. These new ones are very different fitting. Huge legs, feel like bell bottoms. And I measured my old ones, and the new ones are much longer, and much wider. Do not like the fit at all.
Love!!
Approximately 15 years ago I received a pair of Traverse pants as a gift. It was finally the year to replace them. I wear these pants in Virginia from October through March. Comfortable and warm. Love them.
Favorite Winter Pants!
Wear these from late fall through early spring. They're very warm, super comfortable, and smart looking. When it's really cold, I wear leggings or longies underneath. Love everything about them! Ordering my third pair.
Favorite winter pants
I wear these every day from Thanksgiving thru spring. Great for outdoors activities as well as hanging around the house. Truly windproof to 35 mph, but breathable as well. Only downside is they tend to pill
