Do NOT Purchase Factory Seconds!
I ordered the Factory Second Women's 3SP XC pant, since SportHill stated: "It will have a small defect or blemish that will not affect the fit or performance *in any way*. Each unit has been inspected by a member of our quality inspection team." I paid a total of $73.91 on sale (including tax).
The pair I received had major flaws: the sewn seam was crooked on one leg; one of the "side ankle zippers" was located on the back of the left leg; the other was located in between the side and back of the right leg; the left leg had significantly more material than the right leg, so ballooned outward. Hardly a "small defect or blemish that will not affect fit or performance". I would be embarrassed to wear these pants. I paid $10 for shipping to me, plus another $19 to ship back. I requested a credit of $10 toward my shipping fees when I returned the pants due to the false representation of the product. It was not given. Avoid!

You used a discount code to get the overall price down by an extra 20% which may have been a source of confusion regarding reimbursement.

These need to be in a dull camo pattern. Best ever hunting pants, but black is too much like elk legs.

small seconds do not affect appearance
My pair has a catch inner thigh area, not visible at all . I love theses pants! I am normally a size 10 but I bought a large as there is a drawcord to tighten and the extra room allows for thin long underwear layer . As with all products of this material, turn inside out to wash, do not put in dry to prevent pilling.
A winter uniform!!
These pants are so comfortable and are perfect for outdoor activities. The fit is true to size and very flattering. Love, love, love these pants!
WOMEN'S FACTORY SECOND 3SP® XC® PANT
These are my most favorite pants ever!!! I'm 5'4" and 145 lbs, ordered the size L Petite, they fit perfect! I live in Alaska and where normally I'd be wearing snow pants on top of my regular or fleece pants, with these I'm warm enough to go without the snow pants. I like them so much I just got a 2nd pair! And I'm cinematography a 3rd pair! Because what if both pairs are in the wash at once??!!! You will not regret the purchases of these pants. And even though they are 2nds, I can detect no flaws on either pair.
Great pants
These pants have held up for years. They have been perfect for XC skiing with room for under layers if needed. I have also worn these pants on cool to cold outdoor adventures such as multi days on rafting trips.
Women's Factory Second 3SP® XC® Pant 2 pairs
Love them--recommended by a neighbor who was wearing them on a cold day while I was wearing jeans that were not warm enough! I have lived in them since their delivery (New England)--well, during the daytime.
Length is just right; pockets are nice and deep with zipper closure--phone fits with room to spare. I don't think I need the low leg zippers but they make me look trendy....I don't tie a knot with the drawcord as the knot tended to get pulled into the channel--I just tie a bow without an initial knot and that works well.
Fabric is very windproof.
A tip of the hat to designers and seamstresses. I have not yet washed them--but will obey instructions and hang dry....good reason to have 2 pairs...
Exactly what I wanted
I have covered my husband’s version of these pants for years. Now that I actually own a pair, I cannot be happier - the reality matches my expectations. I’ve run in them, hiked, hung out and hope to XC ski in them soon. They’re awesome.
3SPXC
I bought a pair of similar XC SportHill pants (M Petite) many years ago. That model was no longer available and SportHill customer service recommending 3SP XC. I ordered the same size again, but they were too big. I exchanged them for S Petite which fit perfectly. While they are seconds, I haven't managed to find the second. The seam line down the front of each leg is very nice look. The pants are comfortable and warm.
