XC pants
I have worn these pants every morning all winter for many years. I have 3 pairs that are all the same. One was wearing out so I decided to purchase a new pair this year. I do not like it as well despite the description being identical to previous years. The material is a little stiffer-not too big of a deal. The biggest problem which will probably cause me to shop for a different brand next time is the fit. It fits much lower on the waist so I am constantly having to tie the drawstring tighter and pull it up. I ended up buying the next size up hoping that would help and it helped a little, but not enough to buy it again. Sad.
3SP Pants Size MP
I bought a pair of these great pants several years ago and recently purchased a second pair. I was so happy to find the perfect petite length with my first pair. Sadly, the new pants are nearly three inches longer and will not work. I just returned them. : (

I purchased Sporthill running pants at least 20 years ago. And I still love them. And it is time for replacements!
Fabric and fit
I love the heaviness of the fabric. After a week of below freezing temps, I was good every day in these. Nice generous fit without being baggy. I washed them inside out as directed to reduce pilling on the outside but the outside didn’t get clean. Only the inside got clean.
New Fabric And Sizing
I’m a long time user of Sporthill’s Women's 3SP® XC® Pant. They are fabulous in the cold weather. Recently, ever since the fabric changed, I have had a terrible time buying a new pair since the sizing seems to run much smaller than previously. For instance, I always wore an XL Petite in these pants. Just tried on a pair that I received today and the XL Petite barely made it over my hips. Had the same problem with these pants that I bought as a gift for my sister. She always wore a Large Petite and the pair that she recently tried on that was in the new fabric did not get over her hips. I spoke to a Sporthill Rep today about the size changes and fabric. Her response was that their sizing didn't change. It’s that the new fabric is not a stretchy. In my mind that means the sizing changed. I now have no idea what size to get. In addition, the constant returns are costing a great deal of money even through USPS. Wouldn’t it be nice if Sporthill included a return label that, at least, reduced the cost of shipping the item back.
Women's 3SP XC pant
I love, love, love these winter pants! Perfect fit, comfortable, wind, protection, and warm, warm, warm! I especially love the extra long boot zipper at the ankles. Makes it very easy to fit over your boots. Excellent value for the price would love to see these in a maroon or dark red color as well as the black best winter pants for Hiking or just walking your dog in cold temps. Excellent insulation.

Great for winter running and walking
Provides warmth and wind block for winter activities. Need to wear under layer for temps below 25 degrees Fahrenheit and winds speeds over 15 mph .

This is my third pair in the last 20 years. They were originally my xc ski and dog-walking pants, but when I started working from home, they became my wear-all-day-everyday pants. They're warm and comfortable and last forever! I'm so glad you're still making them.
Great winter active pant!
I purchased my first pair about 10 yrs ago! I finally purchased my second pair due to wear over a long time. I love these for most any winter activity. I live in Utah and we experience real winter here! I’m so glad you continue to make these pants.
