Best winter pants from Sporthill

This is the fourth pair of winter Sporthill pants I've owned over the past decade or so. They are by far the most light weight, warm, and wind-resistant of all the different varieties I've tried (I've had the winter fit and the nomad). I like that it doesn't feel like you're wearing twelve pounds of pants while out for a run, and they have a pretty good wind resistance. However, even with leggings underneath they still don't hold up to the very cold days (under 10 degrees F). My outdoor running on those days is limited to 30 minutes or less due to how cold my legs get. For that reason, I give four of five stars.

Good pants but…

…they started to fall apart after one wear! I have two pairs of these pants because they really do fit well and are excellent to use for cross country skiing, but the stitching along the waist band started coming undone almost immediately. Now the waist band elastic is starting to show and will eventually unfold…really disappointing :/
